ID10T Question - I need to dial out from Mobile or Land

hayes1jh Newbie

I am completely new to this but I have to do a quick POC on an the P835 using mobile and land lines. I have the device talking to the computer, but only dialing is via PC. What would I do in SpokesSDKComSample to make an outgoing call using the mobile phone or land line instead of the smartphone? Code sample would be useful.

Use case is field sales people wishing to dial using their analog phone lines and/or mobile phones using app that will run on the PC. We can't verify QOS on household internet connection to use our own Cisco smartphones.Want to use land line instead.

Thanks in advance and feel free to heap scorn upon me....

    Hi Jon,

You raised a very interesting use case. The good news is you don't have to do any code to make outbound call thru a landline from your p835.  Check your user manual for setup to do so.

I need to do some research to see if you need any code to call outbound thru your mobile.

Thanks for your help. The use case would require the computer to dial out the land line as well.We are treating the land line and the mobile line as "softphones" with the computer scrolling through a dialing list. In other words, just like you would do with a predictive dialer only using a land line instead.

      thanks

        Jon,

Sorry for the delayed reply. Somehow I missed your second question until someone alerted me.

I checked with our development team, and I am sorry to report that Spokes does not support outhound calls except through the softphone. You may have to build apps that are outside of Spokes to give you that capability. That would be beyond my expertise to give you more advise on how to do it. Sorry about that.
