Voyager Focus UC Media Buttons
Hello, I want to be able to listen on the events for the media keys on the Voyager Focus UC. I haven't been able to find anything in the api or on the forums that show how to do this. The media keys that im talking about are the play/pause button, next button and prev button that are on one side of the headset. Can anyone point me to the place where it shows i can do this. Thanks, Pedro

Hi Pedro,
It seems the media controls (play, pause, next, previous) are not currently exposed through the Plantronics APIs.
I will look into it a bit more. This would be a useful feature.
What kind of use did you have in mind for these buttons if they were exposed by API?
Thanks,
Lewis.

Hello Lewis,

Thanks for getting back to me so quick.
I want to be able to send the play/pause buttons to my chrome browser. Chrome has extensions that allow you to integrate with media keys.

But just being able to do anything with it is enough.

Thanks,

Pedro

Hi,
On this topic I have discovered the following:
1. Amazon Music Player with Google Chrome Streamkeys extension: Next track/Prev track = WORKS, play/pause = NOT WORK
2. iTunes when Plantronics Hub is installed: Next track/Prev track = WORKS, play/pause = WORKS
3. Windows Media Player with or without Plantronics Hub installed: Next track/Prev track = NOT WORK, play/pause = WORKS
Note: Passing the Bluetooth headset's media keys seems like an Operating System function, so the behaviour may vary depending on Operating System version.
Which version of the Operating System are you using?
Thanks,
Lewis.
