Application using Plantronics 3G SDK crashes on Windows 10 with latest updates and Plantronics C310 USB headset
Preconditions: 1. Plantronics C310 USB headset 2. Windows 10 + Updates: * 2019-02 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems (KB4482887) * 2019-02 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.7.2 for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64 (KB4486553) App that uses (registers on ISessionManagerEvents and IDeviceEventsCallback) Plantronics Hub SDK 3.11.52215 (Spokes.dll), began constantly asyncronously crashing after app start (after InitSpokesRuntime()) if running on Windows 10 with latest Feb 2019 OS updates and Plantronics C310 USB  headset plugged-in to PC. Reproduces on multiple "Windows 10 + OS updates + Plantronics C310 USB" PCs. Is NOT reproducible on same PC if disconnect Plantronics C310 USB from PC and use same app. Is NOT reproducible on same PC if Plantronics C310 USB connected to PC, but app is built with Spokes3GSDK module disabled (InitSpokesRuntime and etc. never launched). Was NOT reproduced before on same PC with Plantronics C310 USB connected to PC, but before latest Windows 10 updates. Is NOT reproducible on Windows 8 and Windows 7.

Hello, any update?

cdhruv
Hi, From the description of the issue you reported, if I understand correctly: 1. Your application implements native integration with Plantronics Hub SDK 3.11.52215 (Spokes.dll) 2. You do not have an instance of Plantronics Hun running on your machine when you see the issue 3. Issue is seen, fairly easily reproducible with: - Windows 10 with latest Feb 2019 OS updates and Plantronics C310 USB headset attached to the PC AND Spokes3GSDK module IS enabled in the app 4. Issue is not seen in the same environment as above but PRIOR to the Windows 10 OS update If the above is correct, could you upload the application logs reproducing the issue (if required) to our FTP site at the following location - you will not need any credentials to do so: ftp://ftp.plantronics.com/incoming/ We need the app logs including and what follows after the application is launched i.e. after the application calls InitSpokesRuntime(). Update this thread once you have done the above and/or if you face any issues ~cdhruv

Hi, cdhruv, Your understanding of issue is correct. Issue is easily reproducible in described environment on multiple customers' PCs only if all 3 conditions met: 1) Latest Windows upgrade installed 2) Headset attached to PC 3) Spokes3G SDK enabled If one of these conditions are not met, issue is not reproducible. Will try to gather logs during 1 week.
