Plantronics Status Indicator with Hardware
I just purchased a Plantronics Status Indicator with hopes that it would work with my brand new W8200B (Savi).   I have installed the Plantronics HUB on my computer but it still doesn't seem to work.   My handset is a Polycom VVX-500.   As an alternative, I thought maybe I could switch to a softphone but even that solution seems incompatible with my 3CX client.  Is there any planned software update to make this work correctly with the Plantronics Hub? Maybe this was just a misunderstanding on my part, is the indicator only to be used with softphone solution and if so, why is the hub listed as an optional device? Thanks for any suggestions.

Are you using the Savi 8200 connected via USB to PC, and connected via an EHS to VVX? if so I would expect VVX call (desk phone line on Savi) to be recognised by Plantronics Hub to activate the Status Indicator. Without EHS but with Savi connected via USB to VVX, the only config it could be made to work with Status Indicator is with S4B on VVX, rather than SIP...

why is 3cx not supported. And by the way, the "i m not a robot" requires 15-Times entry... that is so anoying!

Hi Matthias, Could you confirm if you are using 3CX Webclient or the Windows Client? And which version? Also are you using it with Hub 3.19 from http://www.poly.com/software? Thanks, Lewis.

Hi Mattias, I did a quick test this morning of 3CX support with Plantronics Hub 3.19. The results I got are: Windows Client: Call answer/call end worked with headset button with Savi 8200 UC and Calisto 3200. Mute is not synced. Windows Webclient on Edge, with Extension installed/enabled: Call answer/call end worked with headset button with Savi 8200 UC but not with Calisto 3200. Mute is not synced. I made sure same headset/microphone was selected in Audio settings as was set to primary in Hub. Also in Webclient need to enable Plantronics headset integration in the Audio settings. Thanks, Lewis.

we are using Windows Client - the Application is not in the List. Cant activate it, what i have to do?

In Plantronics Hub there is no 3cx, i use BT300! We do have 30 Plantronic Headsets, that this is not supported is very disappointing.

Hi, There is some support for 3CX with Plantronics Hub (call answer/end, but not mute sync), but it may depend on whether you're using the Webclient or Windows client version of 3CX. Please take a look at my recent test result and notes with 3CX here: https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/3cx-webclient-cannot-connect-to-plantronics-hub-v-3-18-and-3-19.76287/#post-352457 Could you let me know if you are using Legend UC with the BT300, or another product? Thanks, Lewis.

As far as i can see ther is no support for 3xc: https://www.poly.com/de/de/support/supported-softphones

Hi Matthias, I have done a wider test with Poly headsets and the 3CX Windows Client. I had headset call control with all the products I tried included the product you are using, Legend UC. I will include the full details below. I have also shared this to the 3CX community here: https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/poly-formerly-plantronics-headset-call-control-support-with-3cx-works.77532/#post-354205 Let me know if you get it working. Thanks, Lewis. -- I tested button call control (RCC - remote call control) with a wider set of Poly headsets with the 3CX Windows Client, Version 16.3.0.179 and Plantronics Hub version 3.20. The test included inbound call: headset rings, answers, ends, outbound call: headset activates, ends. I had success with the all the products I tried: Legend UC + BT300*, Calisto 3200, Savi W740*, Savi 8220 UC, Focus UC + BT600, Voyager 4245 Office. Given these test results it would suggest that any Plantronics Hub supported headset will provide call control with 3CX. See the full list here: https://www.poly.com/gb/en/support/downloads-apps/hub-desktop . There was one occasion where a test initially failed: I then checked Hub > Settings > Softphones, scrolled to bottom and the Softphone called "COM Session" had disappeared. I quitted and restarted 3CX and then it re-appeared, and headset call control started to work again. So there could be a resilience issue with the integration. *(NOTE: Legend UC is an end-of-life product. The replacement is Voyager 5200 UC. Savi W740 is an end-of-life product. The replacement is Savi 8200 Series / Voyager 5200 Office).

Hi Matthias, Here are some other findings you may find useful: -- NOTE *IMPORTANT STEP*: Enable Plantronics support in 3CX by selecting the Plantronics device, as follows: 3CX > Click the ... > Audio Options E.g. Select Microphone: BT300, Speaker: BT300 NOTE: If Plantronics Hub is started second, it is necessary to restart 3CX Client. Check in Hub > Settings > Softphones, scroll to bottom. You should see 2 SDK-Enabled Softphones called: COM Session 3CXPhoneForWindows The presence of these indicates the 3CX Phone has connected to Plantronics Hub. NOTE: This will already be the case at initial login because when 3CX Client first connects to Plantronics Hub COM API, it will start Plantronics Hub as required. NOTE: There is no 2-way mute sync, mute is not syncronised between 3CX and headset, so this was not included in tests.

The connection is now established. If i make a call to another 3cx client - the LED is green --> Error? if i receive / get a call the LED ist Red, this is correct. So why is the LED not red on outgoing phone Calls?
